This sushi restaurant opened in Gion, Kyoto in April 2017.

Reservations can be made on the day of the visit and are accepted from one person.

It is open for both lunch and dinner.

Access: 5 minute walk from exit 6 of Gion-Shijo Station.

The restaurant is a clean space with an L-shaped counter seating 12.
The menu consists of only one omakase course.

The owner is a person who trained at a famous restaurant in Tokyo.

He uses different types of rice according to the seafood, letting the fish mature to bring out the best flavor.

I think this is a wonderful sushi restaurant where you can enjoy Edomae Sushi in Gion.

The sushi was of course excellent and the owner was very personable,
We had a very nice time.

I was very satisfied to be able to taste a variety of sake. You can find delicious fish in every season.

For this price, it is nothing but a blessing to be able to enjoy the skill of the owner and the fish so much!

The restaurant seems to have been awarded a star in last year’s Michelin Kyoto/Osaka edition.

The rice was well done, with the rice grains standing out and just the right amount of grip, not too soft, and I loved the way it seemed to unravel in your mouth.

It is made with red vinegar and has a rich aroma.

While all of the ingredients were unquestionably very tasty, I personally found the unotan to be especially wonderful, rich but not cloying, and the prawns were boiled and shelled in front of me, probably the best prawn sushi I have ever had in my life.

This was truly delicious, and I couldn’t help but be impressed.
