Introduction
We visited Matsuzaka beef WHAT’S Kyoto Muromachi, a meat restaurant in Karasuma, Kyoto.
.
The interior of the restaurant, an 80-year-old machiya (traditional Kyoto townhouse), was renovated to give a sense of history. There is also a courtyard in the restaurant.
.
The restaurant is a place where you can enjoy the taste of the local cuisine.
We went to taste the lunch menu where you can enjoy Matsuzaka beef at a reasonable price.
Private rooms with beautiful sunken kotatsu and semi-private rooms with sofa seats are available, allowing you to enjoy your meal in a relaxing and private space.
We had it slowly in a private room and were entranced by the beauty of the meat when it was brought to us.
It looks so beautiful and delicious.
You can tell even before you eat it.
They serve only the rare parts of Matsusaka beef that are available on the day of purchase, so you can be sure of it.
On this day, we had Brisket, Misuzu, Ichibo and Senbon.
All parts are high quality, tender and delicious.
The quantity is just right while drinking sake.
All the dishes were delicious and the service was courteous and good.
The pickles are also colorful and can be eaten with rice or
eaten after a bowl of miso soup.
There were many different kinds, beautiful to look at, and delicious.
The miso soup was made with Kyoto white miso.
The slight sweetness of the white miso goes really well with the dish.
The restaurant is a renovated machiya (townhouse) with a stylish and relaxed atmosphere.
Enjoying the view of the tsuboniwa garden from the room
We enjoyed a very elegant lunch.
Everyone at the restaurant was very kind and made us feel very comfortable.
