Kyoto’s ramen battleground! 7 recommended ramen restaurants in Ichijoji

Hello.

Hey everyone, today I would like to introduce some ramen from the Ichijyoji area of Kyoto.

Ichijyoji area is famous for the best ramen in Kyoto.

It is a walk from the station, but there are a variety of good ramen restaurants.

1,Menya Kyokudori Ichijyoji Honten/No.1 Kotto Ramen

When the noodles are lifted, the entire ramen seems to lift up.

The soup is sloppy, but unlike its appearance, it has a creamy, light flavor without being greasy or cloying.

The flavor of ma-yu (Chinese chili oil) adds a delicious accent to the soup. The soup is unique and delicious.

The noodles are medium-thick and straight, and go well with the soup.

The ingredients are a little dry pork, leeks, and thick bamboo shoots, which are also tender and tasty. The boiled egg topping is also half-cooked, and I enjoyed it to the last.

2,Chinese Soba Noodles Takayasu/A popular ramen restaurant that also serves delicious fried bean curd

Ramen starts with the soup.

Slurp it up with a lotus flower, it’s good.

Even though it is not cozy, the flavor is very effective.

The noodles are straight and thin.

This one is not my favorite.

But they go very well with the soup.

The fried bean curd is a large juicy thigh with a crispy batter.

The fried bean curd is a big juicy thigh meat with a crispy batter.

The juices spreading out from the meat are irresistible!

Sprinkled with curry powderand has a spicy flavor as well.

3,Tenka Ippin Sohonten/Long-established national chain

A bowl of thick ramen arrives.

I took a sip of the soup.
Surprisingly, it has a strong aroma of chicken and a rich, delicious flavor of vegetables.

Tenichi’s kotsukuri soup is consistently delicious. Many people will be captivated by this rich and flavorful soup.

The noodles are medium-thick and straight. They are of course a perfect match with the soup and have a firm texture, making them very satisfying to eat.

4,Ramen Jiro Kyoto/Popular Ramen Restaurants in Tokyo

It is so big that it makes you think it is stewed pork cubes, and it is very satisfying.

The volume is so large that it would normally be called “chashu-men” (pork noodle).

The soup is rather light, so you can arrange it in your own way.

The noodles are flat and thick, and the moderate softness makes them easy to eat.

Half a portion is more than enough.

Anyway, the chashu pork is huge! It is so big that it is hard to eat.

The soup is not too rich, and the vegetables and noodles are easily eaten.

5,Tentenyu Main Store/Long-established ramen restaurant

The soup of this very long-established restaurant in Ichijyoji is a thick, rich chicken white soup, thick but easy to eat.

For noodles, we chose the limited edition extra-thick noodles. The noodles were moderately soft and tasty with a good texture.

The chashu pork is also moderately thick and satisfying.

The soup, noodles, chashu pork and green onions.
It is a perfect balance.

6,Tsukemen Enaku/Popular Tsukemen restaurants

I used to enjoy tsukemen at first, but by the end, it tastes so bad that I get a little tired of it, but not here. I think the salty taste is not at the forefront.

The boiled egg is half a ball according to the menu, but I was told that I could have one if it was misshapen or small.

It was more like a boiled egg than a boiled egg, but it was enough.

It was the best seafood tonkotsu (pork bone broth) I have ever had.

7,Bishiya/Very good ramen shop

Located in the fierce battle zone of Ichijoji, where many famous restaurants line up in the neighborhood, this restaurant serves “Iekei Ramen”, a rare type of ramen in Kyoto.

The tsukemen I had once was quite good, but the default ramen is “Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen. I guess it should be “Seafood Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen”.

Basically, it is my favorite because I like it thick and sticky, and the soup is quite thick and sticky, and the noodles are chewy and punchy.
However, the toppings of seaweed, spinach, and tender pork chashu (pork belly) blend with the flavor of the soup, making the overall taste mild.

The soup is not too hot, but it is not lukewarm either, so you can taste the flavors without being fooled by the temperature.
