If you come to Kyoto, this area is recommended.8 recommendations for a stylish dinner in Kiyamachi & Ponto-cho!A romantic evening with a view of the Kamo River.

1,Kyoto Cuisine Pontocho Fumiya/Kyoto Kaiseki in Ponto-cho, Kyoto in front of the Kamo River

The restaurant’s roots date back to a yakitori restaurant established in 1950, so it does not have a story of 100 years in this area, but it is very enthusiastic about entertaining the public and tourists.

The first floor is a kawadoko (riverbed), and the counter seats on the second floor overlook the Kamo River, creating a cozy atmosphere.

For lunch, the restaurant offers a reasonable course menu with dishes that look and taste like Kyoto.

Such an experience is hard to find. The restaurant is a little more prestigious than the other restaurants in Kyoto.

Although the food was small in quantity, there was a large variety, and by the time we finished dessert, we were full.

The atmosphere and the waitresses were wonderful, and we had a wonderful time.

Kawayuka Cuisine in Sanjo, Kyoto

Having been very satisfied with the kawadoko cuisine at Kibune last year, this time we went to the kawadoko cuisine at Kamo River after a long time.

We passed through a very long corridor, through the restaurant, and onto the kawadoko.

It was early in the morning, so it was light, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying a beer outside while it was still light.

The food was prepared using yuba (bean curd) and hamo (pike conger eel), ingredients that remind us of Kyoto, which really lifted our spirits.
