Introduction
Looking for a good yakitori restaurant in Kyoto
Hitomi” always comes up when talking about Yakitori in Kyoto.
Reservations are difficult to make at this restaurant.
The restaurant seems to have a long history,
Many of the customers seem to be regulars.
What is unique about this restaurant is that the staff always call the customers by name, not just regular customers.
Usually, customers are called by their name, like “Mr. No. at the counter,
but in this restaurant, they are called “Mr. 00”.
All of the dishes are excellent, though,
The chicken is both delicious as an ingredient and at a high level of cooking.
Each dish is cooked to perfection and is both savory and juicy at the same time.
The meat is tender while still retaining its chewiness.
In addition to the chicken, the thick fried tofu I ordered was wonderful!
The surface was crispy, but when you put your chopsticks in, the inside was soft and fluffy!
The tofu-like texture of the yudofu and the flavor of the charbroiled grilled chicken were just as good as the tofu itself!
The aroma of the thick tofu was a true Kyoto dish!
