Recommended Onsen in Kyoto No.21

Introduction

Anyway, it was an enjoyable bathhouse.

I like boiling water (43 degrees Celsius), but this time I was very satisfied even without the boiling water, probably because I got warm in the sauna and my hair was frozen in the frozen sauna. The radon bath in the basement and the cypress bath on the third floor were reserved for private use.

The changing rooms are rather spacious and the lockers are Kyoto style with plastic baskets for storage. There is a drink vending machine.

The first floor has a circular main bathtub in the front.

The temperature is about 41 degrees Celsius.

The small circular bathtub is called “Kenbisen.

There are an electric bath, a jet bath, and a flow bath on the side, and a water bath at the back. This water bath is cool and large.

For some reason, there is an objet d’art of a water wheel.

There is also a water bath with a spout on the side.

There is also a small bathtub in a half-underground space in the back.

On the second floor, there is a sauna with a temperature of 104 degrees Celsius and a capacity of 9 to 10 people. There is also a freezer, which is a specialty of the bathhouse, and it is cooled down to -5°C. It is like a frozen sauna. The freezer is used for cooling down, like a frozen sauna.

I remember that this freezer was only in one of the bathrooms. The 4th floor is a shallow salt bathtub with a temperature of about 38 degrees Celsius and a normal level of disinfectant smell.

Anyway, it is a fun place with a wide variety of baths, like a department store of baths. The quality of the hot water, the water, and the sauna are also satisfactory, and it is a place to be enjoyed regardless of the season.

Not only are there many different types of bathtubs, but there are also many stairs and up and down movements in this public bathhouse.

If you want to enjoy the outdoor salt bath, sauna, and artificial radon bath, you will have to move about three floors of stairs. Each of them is interesting in its own way, but the sauna and hot water are a little lukewarm.

I was rather impressed by the strong waterfall bath attached to the water bath.
