Introduction
Meidai Onmen was founded in 1967 in Ginkakuji, Kyoto.
The udon noodles with citrus peel kneaded into them are crisp as they are, yet firm and slick!
It is also different from Kagawa’s udon, but so delicious!
Tempura, crispy batter, kyo yasai (Kyoto vegetables) and prawns are too good!
You can either dip it in the udon broth or eat it with the rock salt that is served with the plate!
Both are delicious!
The pressed mackerel sushi was also delicious, with just the right amount of salt and firm flesh!
The best part was the cold simmered eggplant that was recommended!
The eggplant was delicious, with a dashi broth and a chewy texture like asazuke (lightly pickled) eggplant!
The udon noodles are filling and filling!
Udon noodles are glutinous and shiny!
The whole wheat flour is thin and the sauce goes well with it!
No wonder this is a popular restaurant!
I wonder if the reason for the long lines is due to the courteous service and lack of staff!
There is also a hidden gem!
The three flavors and eight flavors on the table are strong in flavor and quite spicy!
