Introduce

Creamy and mild Tonkotsu Ramen!

I was in a very tonkotsu (pork bone) mood, so I had dinner at Bishiya in Ichijoji, one of the best family-style ramen restaurants in Kyoto.

I visited around 7:00 p.m. and the restaurant was almost full! I chose “Chashu-men-nami” with “Ajitsuke-tamago (seasoned egg)” as a topping!

I clicked on the ticket machine and went to an open counter.

The bowl of noodles arrived in a little over 5 minutes! The steam is so hot that you can see how hot it is!

The soup is a cloudy white pork bone broth that you can tell is thick just by looking at it, and it is topped with the standard Iekei toppings: seaweed, spinach, kikurage mushrooms, green onions, and large pieces of pork chashu (pork cutlet)!

The soup is quite thick, but creamy and mild! The soup is quite rich, but creamy and mild!

The pork bone flavor and the richness of the soy sauce combine to make it extremely tasty!

The medium-thick, straight noodles have a firm texture and a good wheat flavor, and are as strong as the rich soup!

The chashu pork is large and thickly sliced! The pork was thickly sliced and the pork was so satisfying that I was full because I ordered more pork!

I have eaten many kinds of Ihekei Ramen, but this is my personal favorite among the Ihekei Ramen in Kyoto.

No wonder it is so popular! Thank you very much for the food.
