If you come to Kyoto, go there. There is an aquarium where you can see natural treasures.

Today, I would like to introduce an aquarium in Kyoto.
It is located near Kyoto Station and is easy to get to.

1,How to get to the Aquarium

The Kyoto Aquarium is located a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station when walking.
It may be better to take a city bus or a cab.

2,Fish

Japanese giant salamander

The giant salamander, a special natural treasure of Japan and called both a “living fossil” and “one of the world’s largest amphibians,” is a rare creature whose ecology is shrouded in mystery.

In order to further promote the appeal of the giant salamander, the Kyoto Aquarium applied to the Japan Anniversary Association to designate “September 9” as “Salamander Day” because the salamander looks like the number “9” and because the salamanders are active around September for breeding. The date was approved as “Salamander Day.

The “Kyo no Umi” large aquarium

The “Kyoto Sea” tank, consisting of approximately 500 tons of artificial seawater, reproduces the entire Kyoto Sea, which is rich with a wide variety of creatures. There are seven view spots including a skylight and a cave.

3,Dolphin show

Depending on the time of day, you can watch the dolphins feeding and playing.
You can even see the dolphins approach you when you go to the side of the pool.

4,Penguin

On the first floor, you can see what they look like underwater, and on the second floor, you can see what they look like on the hill. The gap between the waddling figure on land and the dynamic diving figure in the water is irresistible.

5,Cafe

Harvest Cafe
Seaside Resident’s Cafe
Stadium Cafe
Kyoto Aquarium has three café corners. Visitors can enjoy their favorite beverages and snacks while watching the dolphin program or taking a break.

6,Goods
