Today I would like to introduce the autumn leaves in Yamashina and Daigo area.
Although they are far from the city, I think the nature is more beautiful there.

Kyoto Municipal Subway Tozai Line Yamashina Station, 10 min. walk to the north

Seiryuden, a Shinto shrine dedicated to the Dragon God, is located on the grounds of the temple, and its sanctuary is protected by a garden called “Sentai Banryu,” which depicts a male and female dragon ascending to the sky in the form of moss.

It has handed down buildings, Buddhist statues, paintings, and documents, including many national treasures and important cultural properties, and is recognized as a World Heritage site.

It is also famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot where Toyotomi Hideyoshi held a sumptuous cherry blossom viewing party, and has been selected as one of the “100 Best Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan.

Kangshuji Temple is the main temple of the Yamashina school of Shingon Buddhism, located in Kangshuji, Yamashina-ku, Kyoto City. The name of the temple is Kikkozan.

The main deity is the Thousand-armed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.

The temple was founded by Emperor Daigo and the founder was Seishun. The temple’s crest is a double chrysanthemum on the reverse side.

The temple is closely associated with the imperial family and the Fujiwara clan.

Subway Tozai Line “Ono” stop, 6 minutes west on foot

Zuishin-in Temple is the head temple of the Zentsuji School of Shingon Buddhism, located in Ono-Goryo-cho, Yamashina-ku, Kyoto. The name of the temple is Ushikazan.

The main deity is Nyoirin Kannon Bosatsu. The founder of the temple is monk Ninkai, known as the founder of the Ono-ryu school.

The temple’s crest is the Kujo wisteria.

The Ono area where the temple is located is said to be the base of the Ono clan, and Zuishin-in Temple is also known as a temple associated with Ono Komachi.

The temple is also known as Zuishin-in Temple, which is associated with Ono no Komachi.
