The Tadasunomori Forest is a 36,000-tsubo forest that has been alive since the Jomon period. Located in the center of Kyoto, an international cultural city, it is said to have once covered an area of 1.5 million tsubo.
The forest is home to a variety of trees, mainly broadleaf trees such as zelkova, enoki, and mukunoki, which were part of the ancient forests of the Yamaboshi Plain.
The forest is considered very valuable in the fields of forest ecology, environmental studies, and other academic fields.

The head temple of the Tendai Enjo Sect. The temple was founded in Funaukayama in the mid-Heian period by the Great Monk Genzo, and moved to its present location during the Tensho period (1573-1593).
It is said to be the site of the residence of Murasaki Shikibu, the author of The Tale of Genji. The temple is also famous for its Chinese bellflowers associated with the tale, and from June to early September, the “Garden of Genji” in front of the main hall is filled with lovely purple flowers.

The best time to visit is from mid-November to early December.

About Myoshinji Temple Myoshinji Temple is the head temple of the Myoshinji School of the Rinzai Sect, which has 3,400 temples throughout Japan.
Many exhibits, such as the Hodo, which has the oldest bell tower in Japan, and the “Unryu (Dragon and Cloud)” painted by Kano Tanyu, provide visitors with a glimpse into Japanese history and culture.

4,Kyoto Gyoen

5 minutes walk from Exit 3 of Imadegawa Station on the municipal subway Karasuma Line.
Surrounded by masonry mounds, the garden is entered through nine gates and six cutouts, and includes the Imperial Palace, historical remains such as Kujo Pond and Chisuitei Pavilion, places to interact with nature such as the Mother and Child Forest and Demizu Stream, and sports facilities such as tennis courts and grounds.
