Update 2024/5/16
Introduction
It is a ramen noodle shop call tentenyuu.
Ichijoji, Kyoto, is a fierce battleground for ramen with a high concentration of popular ramen restaurants.
One of them is Ichijoji, a long-established ramen restaurant established in 1971.
The restaurant is about 80% full.
I wonder if the reason they don’t fill the restaurant is because they don’t have enough staff.
The menu consists of only one Chinese noodle!
Other toppings and a la carte items include kimchi, shredded pork, and gyoza.
I ordered the chashu pork noodle with boiled egg with a large serving of green onion.
It is half chashu pork and half boiled egg.
The soup is a thick and mild chicken white soup with so many green onions that it covers the noodles.
The soup is so thick that it covers the noodles!
The noodles are also delicious.
Adding red ginger on the way, the crunchy texture and sourness combine to make a perfect combination.
The chashu pork is large and satisfying, meaty and not too greasy, making it easy to eat.
Toward the end, I may have drank too much of the soup, and the flavor did not change a bit, but it was still delicious.
Until recently, I thought that ramen was too flavorful, too quick to finish, and not nutritious, so I only eat ramen that looks good.
This ramen has always been very famous, sold in supermarkets and as instant ramen.
It has been around for a long time and the soup is a light, rich chicken white soup ramen.
